PUSH APPAREL is a clothing brand established by founders Lesego Nkosi, Katlego Mohlala and Shaniqua Dunira and we also offer tutoring services called PUSH TUTORING SERVICES which is a CSI(Cooperate Social Investment) PROJECT under the brand.
How the brand name came about is firstly, we are firm believers in God. In our final year of school we prayed a lot for particular reasons and when we passed it gave us a great sign that prayers are answered, hence the brand is names is PRAY UNTIL SOMETHING HAPPENS.
What inspired us to start a clothing brand and a tutoring service is, clothes are the business we know that won’t come to end, it is a life time guarantee that our business will sustain with hard work and patience and as for the tutoring services, we struggled a lot at school on various subjects therefore we put our heads and decided “let’s do good and help other learners who experience the same struggle we did’. Our message is that everybody in life faces adverse situations, and you as a human being need to push and pray through it all. Never doubt God’s will.
What sets your brand apart from all other brands in the market?
The uniqueness of the brand sets us apart from what already out there. We feel like as a brand we are channelling closer to God through clothes
What challenges have you come across in the conception of the clothing brand and how did you overcome them?
Funding. We are in the midst of finding funds because the little we have can’t sustain us in the long run.
Will you be expanding the business in the near future? If yes what products can we look forward to?
Yes. Adding more items to our collection such as pants,socks puffers and a denim range.
What advice would you give to someone who want to start businesses but are afraid to take the leap of faith?
It’s all about hard work, sweat, determination and working in smart ways .Believe in yourself. Life is about taking risks. So take risks.
