At just 23 years old, Lily Bryy is rewriting the rules of Afrobeat, not by chasing trends but by channeling raw emotion, personal stories, and a fierce commitment to authenticity. Born in Togo in the Year of the Dragon, Lily’s journey into music began not with dreams of fame, but as a survival tool, a way to express feelings he couldn’t voice as a child.
Raised in a culture where emotions often stay unspoken, Lily found refuge in music. “I used to hide in the dressing closet just to be alone with music,” he shares. That quiet space became the birthplace of his artistry, a place where vulnerability and strength coexist.

His first real song was sparked by a best friend’s encouragement to write “for real,” over a Machine Gun beat, and from that moment, everything changed. “I felt something open inside of me.”
Lily’s music is an emotional Afrobeat fusion, layered with pop ambiance and heartfelt storytelling. Songs like My Diana and I Miss U aren’t just tracks, they are snapshots of midnight feelings, unspoken love, and hard choices. They carry the heartbeat of a young man who sees himself as an outsider, much like Kagami from Kuroko no Basket, who trains harder, fights to rise, and refuses to be boxed in.
“I come from Togo, not Nigeria. I started late, with no big support behind me. But I believe in the power of will. I believe in the grind,” Lily explains. This outsider perspective fuels his determination to challenge the system and carve a unique lane in a competitive genre.

Influenced by giants like Burna Boy for longevity and Rema for creativity, Lily stays true to his own voice, writing and co-producing his songs with a focus on connecting deeply to the emotions behind every lyric. “I don’t force it. If a part needs time, I let it breathe.”
His music invites listeners to feel seen, whether they’re grappling with heartbreak, missing someone, or chasing dreams alone. “If my music can help someone cry, smile, heal, or even dance while feeling everything at once, then I’ve done my part.”

Currently, Lily is crafting a sound that feels like light, a beacon of hope and healing for anyone walking through darkness. His vision is clear: to prove that you can carry culture with love and respect, even if you weren’t born into it.
Afrobeat called him, and with every beat and melody, Lily Bryy answers passionately, vulnerably, and unapologetically himself.
