Ashley Griffith is a name you won’t forget, not just because of her powerful voice, but because of the story it tells. Born and raised in Missoula, Montana, and now rooted in Atlanta’s vibrant arts scene, Ashley is more than a singer. She’s a multifaceted creative, opera-trained vocalist, songwriter, producer, actor, model, dancer and every layer of her artistry is a reflection of the life she’s lived and the love she carries for music.
Ashley’s journey into music wasn’t scripted. In fact, it began around campfires with her father, singing under Montana skies. “I never intended to make music professionally,” she shares. Even as she studied opera in college, her dreams lived quietly, until life redirected her path. A friend introduced her to modeling, and from there, opportunities unfolded that reignited the spark she had long put aside. “Eventually, the reminder became too big to ignore,” she says. “I made the decision to officially give it a go.”
Today, Ashley describes her music as “an energy, a movement, a pulse.” With genre-bending sounds rooted in dance pop and laced with operatic undertones, her music takes listeners on an emotional and physical journey. But she doesn’t just sing, she crafts sonic experiences.
Her debut single, “Get 2 Know U,” is proof of that. Written on a flight home from Montana, the song was born from spontaneity, and heart. “It’s actually the first song I ever wrote,” Ashley says. “Where writing had always felt forced, this time the words flowed smoothly.” Inspired by that electric moment of meeting someone who sparks your curiosity, the track is a celebration of connection, chemistry, and letting things unfold.
Bringing the song to life was a collaborative effort with producers Rahiem Hassan Riley and Johan “Octoburr” Levy. Transitioning from opera to modern recording wasn’t easy, Ashley describes late nights, vocal hurdles, and a learning curve that tested her. But every challenge was met with determination. “This song took patience, persistence, and a few tears, but it’s my baby,” she says. “It’s the start of Ashley Griffith.”
Her creative process is both intentional and intuitive. Sometimes inspiration strikes like lightning. Other times, she sits at the piano, lets a melody rise, then paints the story it tells. “The magic tends to come together from there,” she says, “though it often goes through updates, redirections, and improvement along the way.”
For Ashley, music is a mirror. “I want people to feel something. Whether it’s joy, pain, strength, or vulnerability, if it’s real, people feel it.” That emotional authenticity is what sets her apart. Her voice may shift across genres, but the heartbeat behind each note remains grounded in truth.
The foundation of her artistry is deeply supported by family. “I’m blessed to have one of the most loving and supportive families I’ve ever seen,” she says. Whether it was choosing piano over a four-wheeler or encouraging her artistic pursuits, Ashley’s family has been her steady anchor.
Looking ahead, her goals are bold and beautifully audacious. “I want to tour the world. I want to perform everywhere. And yes,” she adds with a smile, “I want to be an EGOT.” That is, to win an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony. But even if that dream stretches far, Ashley is clear: “A whole lifetime of creating beautiful art in the pursuit of this dream is a dream within itself.”

Are you working on any new projects that we can look forward to?
I am constantly working on new projects. I am currently working on a few collabs, ranging from pure pop, house, and even cinematic pieces. As far as my individual music is concerned, I have some single releases in the works, as well as a three track EP. Without giving too much away, my next single was inspired by a voice message sent by my nephew and the EP was inspired by one of my favorite book series, Harry Potter. I can’t wait to share both projects with the world!
