I am bubbly, talkative, always smiling and love being around people. My body positivity journey started a few years ago. I was around people who were always negative about everything particularly their opinions about plus size women, so I started confronting them telling them how being chubby doesn’t make me any different from everybody else.We are one and we should respect each regardless of our race, culture ethnicity and body types.
What inspired me to be outspoken about my journey is I embrace my body and I want everyone to stop doubting and hating themselves because of how they are built , have confidence and love yourself just the way they are.
“I couldn’t give the bullies power over me”
I was once bullied in high school I went to the toilet and cried my lungs out and came to my thoughts that this is not how i want to live my life, I couldn’t give the bullies power over me, so I confronted the group and told them this is how I am and they should get it into their minds that I won’t change for them and walked away.So to anyone who has been bullied or currently going through it, do not take it in a bad way know that they don’t know what they’re talking about, hold up that face in confidence and say to yourself “this is who I am and this body is mine I love it”

The media has an expectation of what a plus size woman should look like, bodies are build different, and it is not every plus size woman who has a small waist. So people should respect that bodies are different and should not set beauty standard based on what the media regards as acceptable. Some plus size woman have love handles, big busts and big thighs an that is very beautiful.
What inspired us to start the plus size movement was to show other plus size woman that if we can do it they can also do it. They should not feel bad about their body that’s how they are built and the should embrace it.
The movement is about being true to yourself and opening up and staying away from the hate , every time people approach me telling me how i have changed their lives through my talks L feel overwhelmed yet grateful, I get mixed emotions knowing that I made a change in someones life and it motivates me to keep on spreading the word about how important it is to love yourself first before you expect someone to love you, fall in love with your body and know that no one is going to love you before you do it yourself. This body is yours and yours only love it no matter the shape.
