Afrobeats Artist SHEEZZY RAWW Turns Life’s Journey Into Soulful Sounds

In the ever-evolving world of Afrobeats, where rhythm meets soul and truth flows through melody, there stands an artist who is quietly and powerfully carving out his own lane, SHEEZZY RAWW. Born Oluwaseyi Emmanuel Adeniyi, the Lagos-based artist and songwriter is not only making music, he’s imprinting spirit into every note.

“I’m a 29-year-old artist and one of the dopest songwriters coming out of Lagos,” he says, and it’s not just confidence, it’s conviction backed by years of soulful devotion to sound. A graduate of Creative Arts from Tai Solarin University in Ogun State, Sheezzy’s journey into music didn’t start in studios or stages. It began at home, in the subtle but profound presence of his uncle, a man who rarely watched movies but always filled the air with music.

It was there, in that sonic sanctuary, that the seeds of a musical path were quietly planted. Rewriting songs that played on repeat, Sheezzy unknowingly began to shape his voice and storytelling power. His first rewrite? “Pere” by the legendary Mo’Hits crew. His first recording? 2014. But it wasn’t until 2017 that he fully stepped into his calling as an artist and songwriter.

For Sheezzy, music wasn’t a career pursuit from the start, it was love. That love, over time, bloomed into a purpose.

His latest release, Eternal, is not just another track, it’s a prayer, a moment of raw honesty, a deeply personal conversation between a man and his Maker. “Every time I listen to it, I’m reminded of the journey I’ve been on,” he shares. Years of pushing through without much external support have only strengthened his resilience. “I don’t know how my breakthrough will happen, but I have faith that it definitely will,” he confesses. Eternal captures that faith, a soul-searching cry for strength, elevation, and timeless blessings.

And while the journey hasn’t been easy, Sheezzy RAWW has remained authentic to his core. He doesn’t chase trends. He doesn’t mimic formulas. Instead, he pours feeling into every verse, emotion into every rhythm. “My originality sets me apart. I create music that I deeply feel and love. I let my emotions guide me,” he says.

A proud admirer of Burna Boy, Sheezzy finds strength in the superstar’s refusal to compromise. “He’s stayed true to himself and risen on his own terms. That’s what I admire most,” Sheezzy notes, and it’s a blueprint he lives by.

Whether singing about love, struggle, or spiritual longing, Sheezzy RAWW’s music always carries a message. “There’s always a deeper meaning beneath the surface,” he says. “I craft stories that convey important truths.”

As a songwriter, his process is as organic as his artistry. Sometimes, songs spill out effortlessly. Other times, they simmer and evolve slowly. But every track starts from a place of feeling, a need to express something real.

Though Afrobeat is a fiercely competitive space, Sheezzy doesn’t see other artists as rivals. “My motivation comes from the love and peace music brings to my soul,” he says. It’s passion that keeps him going, not pressure.

And for fans who’ve been waiting? There’s something brewing. “I’m working on an upcoming EP titled Ten of July,” he reveals. “It’s a 6-track project filled with some of my best work yet.”

His aspirations are global. He wants to tell stories that resonate across borders and Glitz Magazine believes he’s well on his way. With a voice that’s both grounded and rising, SHEEZZY RAWW isn’t just another artist. He’s a movement in the making.
